Ginger Shepherd's Bio
Ginger was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised in Houston, Texas. She is a born again Christian and her spiritual experiences started at an early age, considering the fact that her Father was a Baptist Minister and Pastor.
Ginger earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Texas Southern University and moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she taught in Philadelphia Public School System for eight years. She also attended Penn State and Temple Universities for additional Pennsylvania's certifications. After returning back to Texas, Ginger pursued and earned a Master's of Education Degree (Specializing in Reading) from Texas Southern University. Still in having the vision in education, Ginger Shepherd was employed by Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District for twenty-five years were she was one of the few minority catalyst that opened doors for many others. Eventually, she retired from the education field in 2004 after thirty-three years of teaching experience.
After retirement, another chapter was emerged when Ginger later became part of a five member team that organized the Lincoln City Credit Union where she served as Vice President for ten years and President for seven more years. Lincoln City Credit Union was the only black owned and operated financial institution in the Acres Home and Lincoln City areas at that time.
Ms. Ginger is a Mother of two adult children, widow, Grandmother, single again and still surviving to make an impact to inspire others. Ginger is an active member of The Church Without Walls where the presiding Pastor Ralph Douglas West Sr. is the overseer. Ginger has served at the church in various ministries such as the Music Ministry, Mosaic Women Ministry (Women of Wisdom Season of Life) and is a Lydia's Woman. Ginger has worked very diligently over the years for the Lord as Deaconess for twenty years, Vision Leadership, Discipleship Training, Teacher's Training, Children's Choir Director and much more. Her purpose and desire is to use every gift from God that is lead by the spirit in helping others. Adding more to her dossier by God's divinely gifting and inspiration the Lord lead her to start her own ministry that dealt with grief and loss which was called "A Ray of Hope". Which inspired women to be empowered to help themselves through Christ Jesus and to add wholeness to their lives. Through ministering to others, she become a Certified Christian Counselor through the state of Texas from International Christian Institute.
Ginger's lifetime motto has been: "You will know me by my works and can tell them that I am a Child of the King".
